God loves you and wants you to become His
child- so much that He’d rather die than live without you.
Throughout
the Bible you will find that the continual theme is His love for you.
The Father came to this earth in His Son Jesus Christ.
On earth He lived a sinless life, was sentenced to death and died
on the cross. On the
third day He conquered death by rising from the grave so we could have
our sins forgiven and live forever with Him in heaven.
God desires you to be His child.
We are taught in the Bible that we are born in sin and because of
this we are eternally separated from Him.
However, because of His love for us He showed us mercy by giving
the perfect Lamb, Jesus Christ His Son, as a sacrifice.
We need to do our part in coming to know Him by confessing our
sins before Him and asking for His forgiveness.
We then need to receive Him into our lives so we can live with
Him forever.
Here are some verses from the Bible to show us
about His love for us and what our response needs to be.
God Loves You
“For God so loved the world, that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not
perish but have eternal life” -John 3:16 New American Standard Bible-
updated version (NASB)
Yes, God loves you and gave the ultimate of
sacrifice in His Son so you can have a full and complete life.
He also promises life with Him forever in heaven when you believe
in Him.
We Are All Sinful
“for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God” – Romans 3:23 (NASB)
Everyone is born a sinner.
We have been separated from God because of sin.
Whenever we sense guilt, shame, or regret, it’s because of sin
in our lives.
There’s a Penalty For Sin
“For the wages of sin is death”- Romans 6:23
(NASB)
Just as there are penalties for criminal acts in
society so there’s a penalty of not only physical but spiritual death
for sin in our lives. If you
die, never having done anything about your sin, this surely results in
the penalty of going to a place called hell, which is eternal separation
from God.
Jesus Christ has Paid Our Penalty!
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall
be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”- Romans 5:8-9 (NASB)
Because of God’s love for us, He showed us
mercy by sacrificing His Son and the shedding of His blood on the cross
so we wouldn’t have to carry the burden of sin in our lives ever
again!
The Gift of Salvation is Free
“For by grace you have been saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a
result of works, so that no one may boast”- Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB)
Today God shows to you grace, which is “underserved favor”. This
is freely given and none of us deserve it.
We cannot earn it, buy it, or work for it in any way.
He freely offers it to all who by faith believe in Him.
Jesus Stands At The Door of Your Heart
Knocking
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if
anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will
dine with him, and he with Me.”- Revelation 3:20 (NASB)
Jesus Christ desires to be at the very center of
your life. He pleads with
each of us to let him into everything in our lives- our will, intellect,
and emotions. He
patiently waits to come into your heart and life.
You Must Receive Him Into Your Life
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave
the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His
name- John 1:12 (NASB)
When you receive Jesus Christ into your life and
give Him every aspect of your life, you become a changed person.
You now have the privilege of beginning to understand His Word
(the Bible) and you can talk with Him all the time about anything. This
is what He desires- your fellowship. Now this relationship with Jesus
lasts all of life and all of eternity. He says to you “I will never
desert you nor forsake you”- Hebrews 13:5 (NASB)

Christ today, please let us
